We designed the Machina to be our favorite daily workhorse distance short with enough lightness for race-day optionality on roads or trails.

1. Race Series Body Fabric

2. OnLock Pocket System

  • Proprietary 6.5" x 3" centered back pocket closes with YKK zippers and cinches down when the shorts are tied to hold an iPhone Pro or 4 gels with minimal bounce
  • Two 3" x 2.5" elastic pouches cut into the front waist band deliver quick-stash storage for gels, headphones, or trail trash
  • Internal key pocket on the back hip

3. Classic Cinch Waist with In/Out Eyelets

  • "Old school" bunched boxer waistband delivers durability, even balanced distribution, and timeless style
  • "New school" In/Out Eyelets, copied from our favorite board shorts, give you the option to tie the drawcords on both the inside and outside of the band

4. Intentional Details

  • Custom wax-dipped drawcords feature raised silicone branding for additional stickiness
  • Four unique logoing systems feature limited release designs, printed by in Toronto, Canada and Salt Lake City, Utah

My go-to daily’s!

I am a size 34” waist and went with a size Large. Perfect fit.
The liner holds everything in place just right. The inseams sit perfectly & do not allow chaffing to occur. I’ve been able to ditch the use of anti-chaffing salves by using these shorts for my daily runs.
Rear pocket does fit my iPhone 16 Pro without a case. Anything larger would not fit. Alternatively, the rear pocket holds multiple gels just fine. Front/side pockets are small as expected but those hold my keys/ chapstick. Interior key pocket fits my cars FOB when I head out on longer excursions and leave my keys behind.
I have shorts made by other brands but now those all act as back-up shorts if I am behind on laundry. I own 7 pairs of these shorts as I do not want to run in any other pair of shorts!
